Westminster Wheels….a collaboration with community at its heart showing how we can keep London moving, sustainably

Each year around 300,000 bicycles are discarded in London - around 5% of all new bike sales in the capital. Paddington-based Westminster Wheels helps to rescue some of those bikes, repairing them to road-worthy condition and re-selling them at affordable prices. It also offers an affordable bike repair service, helping to extend the lives of bikes already on the road. Parts they can’t use, like old inner tubes and tyres, are sent off to make new tyres and inner tubes. So nothing goes to waste.

An important part of Westminster Wheels’ work is providing training to unemployed Westminster residents, equipping them to become qualified bicycle repair mechanics.
